DON'T FIT IN
Something I have noticed about movements is how they can mirror the structure of the landscape they sought to replace. In Eastern Europe people still use communal utilities like grape presses because it’s what they know from Iron Curtain times. They find the familiarity of it reassuring. Of all the great things to come out of being youngish, outside and alive, skateboarding is clearly the one great find. However what it shares with all ‘no rules’ cultures is an invisible hierarchy constituted of perceived legitimacy. I’m here to tell you it’s a house of cards. You hear a lot these days in sub cultures about what constitutes ‘legit’, but here’s what I think: legit is as legit does. Because it is a collective shapeshifter, legitimacy is in crisis. The legit guys are all broke and you can’t eat cool. Where this is taking the centre ground of skating is anybody’s guess, but what it means to us is: think for yourself, support what you like and don’t worry your head about …

Naturalisation copy-editing for Oakley

It would appear that word of our work is spreading throughout the European action sports industry.
Most recently, we just delivered a small assignment for the sunglass giant Oakley which we hope will assist them with their brand positioning in English language markets. Right off the back of that we signed our biggest client to date, but we are under oath to keep it under wraps until launch date. So tickled though!

Helping TSG's tradeshow launches

Off the back of our work for Vans, Sensible Answers is pleased to unveil our recent work on behalf of safety dons TSG. Our partners at Organic Thought Farm invited us to come on board with naturalisation and transliteration of TSG's B2B assets for the tradeshow season. We delivered completed products on a very short timescale and the feedback from TSG was glowing. After a strong tradeshow series TSG are scheduled to announce new product lines for 2013. We look forward to working with them in the very near future.
